Today one of my dearest friends will give birth to her first child! I am on the edge of my seat as if I am having a baby today. Not only to see the miracle that God has blessed her and her husband with, but to add another answered prayer to my list as others will add it to their list also.
Right now I have butterflies in my stomach like when I had to shoot freethrows during the 4th quarter of a close game. I have the confidence that all will be okay but I did not exhale until the ball was completely through the net. Bounce, bounce, bounce, pause, use my knees and release. My friend does not play sports so this is not a technique she can use to relax. I will use it though until I get a call or text message stating, "Swoosh! Game over! We won! It's a healthy baby ??? The baby weighs 8 lbs and ??? and the name is ???"
I had no role in conceiving this child but Baby C will be loved by me as much as my S and A are loved by me. Every time I find something that will help with my girls developments, Baby C will get the same info or toy. For all the prayers I pray to keep my kids covered in the blood of Jesus, Baby C will be covered also. For every kiss I give my Princess and Duchess, there will be a kiss for Baby C.
When I think of the big picture of God allowing women to give birth, I think of all the things He allows us to birth: ideas, dreams, jobs, projects, goals, ministries, buildings, etc. My business is still a fetus but when birth is given, there will be a starting game buzzer to signal: Jump ball, pass it, pass it, head toward the basket, lay up and Swoosh!
Thinking of my friend giving birth is a direct correlation to anyone's business giving birth. God created our bodies for birthing new life by our need to stay in our mothers' wombs for 9 months and develop and prepare for our arrival. Not only did it give us time as babies to develop, but it gave those who would directly affect our lives time to adjust and prepare. So as entrepreneurs have business ideas developing, God is exposing us to other entrepreneurs, information, and concepts so we can adjust and prepare to give birth. Being patient is hard when you know something is growing, cultivating, and developing but that it is not time for it to be delivered, presented, exposed or shared. However, you know the reward of waiting until God says, "NOW!" is greater than anything you can imagine or have dreamt of.
Baby C, I am being patient and look forward to the rewards you will add to this world!

I hear You, Lord!
The last few emails and conversations I have received from people are them hearing instructions from God and them deciding whether they will be obedient or not. It is sort of a shame that He even gives us a choice and worse that we have to think about if we will obey or not.
He has been speaking to me on forgiveness and compassion. I thought I had forgiven a certain person only for me to be angered everything they open their mouth to speak. I begin to have horrible thoughts of them not existing any longer and thought that was just too selfish so I started praying for them instead. It made me feel good for the moment - until I heard their voice again then the vicious thoughts came back. Upon battling it for a few months- yes months not days- God woke me up at 3am this week and dropped this verse in my spirit: Father, forgive them for they know not what they do. I thought I have already forgiven this person and that person, what does this mean Lord? I tried to go back to sleep to get the answer like you do when you wake up in the middle of a good dream and try to go back to sleep to finish it. No such luck! As the morning went on, the answer was slowly being revealed.
Instead of listening to Creflo Dollar while I was getting dressed, Taffi was on. I do not care for her teaching style but I kept her on for background noise. Why was she talking about compassion? She taught that since we are the fullness of God and God is compassionate, loving and forgiving, that means we are the same. We do not have to try to be these things, we already possess these qualities because He lives in us. I thought "compassion, forgiveness,..." okay, Lord, I hear you.
The message was a boomerang: by saying out loud, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do.", it was going out and coming right back to me. I needed to forgive myself for all the bad decisions and things I did in the past- yesterday and beyond. For me to have compassion toward myself for the major mistakes I made affecting my friends, family and kids. To pull my head off the chopping block because God never sat it there for anything I did and that He wiped my slate clean with every stripe upon Jesus's back. I need to forgive myself.
I will not say I have fully forgiven myself at the time of this post but I will admit I am saying it out loud several times a day until it the boomerange pierce my heart. It has bonked me in the head several times but the heart is where it will live. So for now it has to travel from my head to my heart and right now it is lodged in my throat.
Self talk: I am made in the image and likeness of God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. Therefore I am worthy of forgiveness and compassion. Forgive Kim, for I knew not what I was doing.
