I just came from Barnes&Nobles where an experience that can only be orchestrated by God occurred. Two Black women had pounced on this one Black lady who freely offered the following info that set her up for the next 10 minutes of them lecturing her: I just moved to Texas; I have found people here so friendly; and I am starting my own business. I was in the section for Financial planning and they were in the adjacent aisle where the "new lady to TX" was looking for maps to help learn her way around the city. I could sense the "new lady to TX" was getting a bit irriated by them so I slid over into their semi circle and offered a friendly suggestion- go to the FW Business Women's Center and they will help get you started. One of the two pouncers began pulling out her card and telling me about Black people earning wealth thru Pyramid systems and drinking Noni juice to improve their health. I told her that is great but selling Noni is not for everyone. The "new lady to TX" looked relieved that I spoke so freely and the two pouncers got the hint and slowly departed ways. The "new lady to TX" and I chatted a little longer about great books we have read and how do we change our passions into money like so many others have done. The conclusion was God's guidance and listening and acting on help from others.
Prior to stopping at the bookstore, I was in Foley's trying to use up all the money on a gift certificate my mama gave me for Christmas. Now I know why I have never shopped in that store- over priced and they do not sell crockpots under 5 quarts! I was a little insulted when the lady in the cookware section suggested I go to Wal-mart but then I got over it because I really didn't want to be in their store anyway. She then asked told me I must don't shop much because I seemed frustrated at not being able to find what I wanted right away in their store. So I asked her to direct me to the jewelry dept where I found a pair of earrings and a necklace. The tag should have rang my total up at $44 but they were an additional percentage off so now I am stuck with going back to the store and spending $24.50. I am hoping they have these wall shelves on-line that I saw for $19.99 so I can just use it and be done with it. Don't think I am unappreciative for the gift card because I am not. I just hate shopping!
Before going to the mall, I was getting my brakes replaced. A whopping $200 I had not planned on spending but thank God I had it. I guess that is what my savings is really for anyway when before I thought it was there for me to look at it grow and grow! Some people still think that or say I am saving for a rainy day and when the rainy day comes, they panic about taking money out of their savings accounts. I imagine I will meet these types of people and many others as I develop clients for my business. I will have to set up a separate blog them so I can look back on how my clients have grown after using IDB Now! and how I have grown and learned from them.
The real highlight of my day was waking up, doing my devotion on the Holy Spirit is a Person, seeing a smile on LeLe's face and going to the taping of Joyce Meyer at Life Outreach International. She looks better than she does on TV but her personality is the same- real, funny and direct. Her husband, Dave, is a lot thinner than I imagined but looks the same as he does on TV. She talked about her new book, Look Better, Feel Better. One of the things that convicted me was that we are representatives of Christ so it only make sense that we dress and look like it. That means outside- clothes ironed, hair combed, etc.- and inside- take care of our health, be mindful of what we eat, exercise, get 8 hrs of sleep, etc. I was in agreement with her until the 8 hrs of sleep because that is not realistic for me. I am good to get 5 or 6 which seems to work for me. My conviction was ironing my clothes vs shaking them when they come out of the dryer and praying I don't need to iron them. I own an iron but don't care to use it. When I can afford it again, I will take my clean clothes to the dry cleaner for them to iron and then it won't be an issue.

Sounds to me like you had a REALLY productive day! You got all of this done in ONE day?
When I read the part about the 8 hours sleep, I said to myself hmm....lets see what Kim says about that part!
Glad you had a happy and meaningful day, without signing up to a Noni Juice Pyramid Scheme!
