If you have ever questioned whether we all have a purpose on this earth, watch the video of the life of Donnie McClurkin. I was priviledged to watch it last night during a Ladies Night Out and now I truly understand the meaning of purpose and standing on faith.
As you may know he was molested by an uncle and cousin at a young age. Two of his sisters were molested by the same two men. This in addition to his brother being killed at the age of 2 and his mother witnessing the entire incident, sent his family in a spiral only enjoyed by the devil. However, God has restored Pastor Donnie McClurkin and his family.
God still has the victory what could and have destroyed other people but not them because they were raised believing that God can deliver us from anything and anybody. One of the sisters who was molested turned to drugs but now she has been delivered from drugs and healed from terminal cancer! Glory to God!
The same little boy, Donnie, who was molested and danced in homosexuality as a result of the molestation, seeks to be married to one woman and promises to serve God all his life. He tells this testimony thinking it will deliver others from the nightmare of homosexuality not realizing it goes beyond that. I learned from listening and watching the events in Pastor McClurkin's life thus far, and looking at the events in my own life, that God will use every situation in our lives to draw us to Him and prove to the world that He is God. Nothing that has happened or will happen to us is wasted or a mistake.
For single women who had premarital sex and have rededicated their lives to the Lord, we will feel like a virgin on our wedding night with our Boaz. We will never put a man before God nor will our husbands put us before his relationship with God. We understand that our body is a temple of God to be used however He sees fit so we exercise, pray, cut back on sugar and fried foods, tithe our time and talents, and thank God in the midst of our loneliness because we know it is only temporary. Jesus is the long-lost love who has re-entered our lives to never leave again! Glory to God! Our singleness right now is part of our purpose, you know that right? Time for you to enjoy true love from The Father, to express real love and intimacy with The Father, to practice our cleaning and cooking skills for our Boaz and to know that we know that we know, we are fulfilling the purpose for which God made us. No time or event in our lives are wasted or a mistake, thank you Father.
