Alive

After yesterday, no one- I mean no one can convince me that God is not alive! Plus He continues to show me favor by bringing awesome people in my life from all directions.

It started with MT and I sharing the goodness of God that was laid on us first thing Tuesday morning. I understand the scripture "The joy of the Lord is my strength." because just thinking of His goodness gave me strength to believe and perserve through everything I have encountered thus far. She then asked if I would go with her to pray for RP because when she saw her this morning, her heart seemed heavy. So off we went to RP's office. RP seemed relieved when we announced we were there to pray with her. She gave us specific prayer request and the presence of the Lord arrived right there in RP's office as we stood with joined hands and tears rolling down our cheeks. MT told me today that she felt the Holy Spirit lift us off the floor and into His presence and I believe in my heart it happened.

Shortly after leaving that office, MT called and asked if I had time for another prayer request. Of course! She and one of her staff came in requesting prayer for her mom who was getting her leg amputated. This woman and I had conversation last week about her mom having surgery and the dr's stating she would not live through it and she did. MT asked me to pray and I had to delay for a few seconds so I could decrease and the Lord could enter and take over. And He did! A blanket- like a huge comforter- of peace was all in my office and completely covered this woman who requested prayer. I learned from this experience that God says to "just ask" and He will do it.

So during lunch time, the spirit of the Lord was still on me just like the physical clothes that I wore. JJ spoke during the Lunch Explosion yesterday on Forgiveness is Powerful. In addition to clarify how God viewed forgiveness in the Old Testament and how Jesus viewed forgiveness in the New Testament, he shared something with me without speaking. Through his passion and love for the Lord as he shared, God showed me that there are godly men walking amongst us. To not give up or get discouraged that Boaz will not come but to continue to praise and trust God that He is preparing Boaz to be the godly man I need and desire. Most importantly that Boaz can be of any race and for me to embrace it now so I do not miss him when God sends him to me. This message smacked me in the forehead like a bolder in a cartoon. I received Your Word Lord in my life!

Needless to say I was full all day and walking in abundance. Hoping that my overflow would fall on all those around me at work. God was definitely showing out today and I ain't mad at Him!

Last night we had plans to attend a new Touchpoint group. This woman I know was sent to me by God and God alone. She has known my sister for over 10 yrs while they lived in California. She moved to TX a year ago and we attend the same church. Her home welcomed us immediately upon entrance and I know I will learn from the women in our group and her. To God be the glory! What sent my overflow into flood mode was one of the women at the study received the Holy Spirit! It was awesome! She shared her desire to receive it, our Touchpoint leader showed her how, and she immediately began speaking in tongues. She was crying, I was crying, the other woman in the group was crying- all of joy! Look at God! You are so awesome!

So God I know you are alive in and around me and I am so thankful!

A Changed Woman

Before leaving work and going on short-term disability, I was bragging to my co-workers that I would come back a changed woman. Little did I know that the statement was not just for my physical well-being, but spiritual and mental also. It feels like God gave me a make-over during those five weeks. The crazy part is that I feel like my true self now more than I have all my life. He used other people plus whispers from Him directly ministered to my heart about His power, glory, sense of humor, care, love and forgiveness.

I know where my focus is, what it should be on, who it should not be on and where I am headed. I guess He needed me to sit still for a minute to work on all of me vs. bits and pieces He could grab in my day-to-day running here and there. I feel awesome- physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually! Trying to think of something to compare it to that I have experienced so far in life: dancing in the living room with my girls! It is an unbeatable feeling. My conversations with my Father are different and more intimate, my tolerance for mess is minimal, my hunger for wisdom is ongoing and my desire to show others mercy is a priority. God is good! If I was sitting on the beach right now writing in my journal, I would definitely think I'd died and gone to heaven!
