What a difference painting a room makes to the feel of the entire room! I remember thinking this when we painted some of the rooms in our townhouse in Maryland. Just paint made the furniture look better and all the other rooms around it. It made me want to make up my bed just so the whole room would look better with the new color of paint.
What a difference in security I felt by adding curtains over the blinds in my apartment! They are not fancy drapes with a valance or cute tie backs. Just cotton, $9.99 panels that lay over the blinds but add privacy and class to two small but cozy rooms. I think this will be one of the suggestions I make to some of my clients who want "things" for their new apartment or house. If you want to buy something to make your place feel like home, buy curtains.
